Belinda first came to Byron in 2010 to study and teach yoga. Now a mother of 2 young children, who's still interested in fully enjoying outdoor adventures such as rock-climbing, SUP and hiking, after experiencing the affects that pregnancy, birth and living with little people has had on her body. Her focus is with working with clients to also optimise their participation in their individual day-to-day life and chosen goals, through increasing their body awareness and knowledge and using remedial massage to open the body to its innate ability to heal itself.

A massage with Belinda will generally be slow, focused, intentional and flowing, with pressure and techniques adjusted to suit the needs of the client. She has a particular interest in myofascial connections within the body and continues to study in this area.

Each Remedial Massage treatment is individually assessed and will concentrate in regions related to injury, pain or interest to the client, incorporating techniques such as: Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release and Muscle Energy Techniques. Swedish Relaxation and Breathing techniques can be incorporated, aiding the nervous system to drop into the parasympathetic (rest & digest) to release tension, especially when there is an intolerance to stress experienced. Breathing techniques, strengthening exercises and stretches are also given for clients to continue self-treatment at home.
